The holiday season and the time leading up to Christmas is usually so busy, but for us, it has been a time to slow down the pace and relish in some quiet time together as a family. We celebrated on Saturday with my side of the family, since my sister Carrie and her boyfriend Greg will be spending Christmas with his family in Ohio. Everyone had fun with Karamea and Great-Grandpop was even able to make it up from Denver. Karamea enjoyed the company (and attention) of all of the family members and looking at the bright decorations.
We'll still go to church on Christmas Eve and spend Christmas Day with Grandma and Grandpop R at their house. It will be nice to have time to focus on the true meaning of Christmas rather than get caught up in the commercial hustle and bustle that so often gets in the way.
