It has been a very happy holiday for us around here...and we even had a white Christmas! (Well, there was snow on the ground, anyway...) I hope that yours was wonderful too! We had a fun time with the whole family and really enjoyed the fact that we were able to celebrate together with all four grandparents. Now that Christmas is over, we have been relaxing a bit and savoring the time that Mark's parents are still with us. They will probably be heading out next week to travel around a bit before returning to Alaska. Mark's dad is doing great after his double knee replacement (the week before Thanksgiving) and is making daily progress in his recovery. We'll sure miss them when they go, but we know we'll be seeing them again in April (when they come to welcome their new granddaughter) and next summer.
We wish you all the best as 2009 draws to a close and a great start to 2010!

Karamea wasn't so sure about this strange guy
in the red suit at first,

but she warmed up to him after a while!

She was so happy when she discovered
the little bench my parents gave her!

Karamea handed out some of the presents
on Christmas morning.

She also did a fantastic job of opening her own presents.

But then she needed a break and time to play with
her presents (and Grandpa and Grandma!).
