What will you do with Jesus?

Every year, there seems to be a song that particularly speaks to my heart as we prepare for Christmas. The song that resonated with me this year isn't a well-known hymn, or even a popular Christmas song, but one we heard around the house a lot lately as Karamea practiced for her first choir concert. I've included the text and a video below, for those not familiar with it. Hearing the lyrics over and over as we listened to the practice CD, singing them myself, and hearing them sung so sweetly by Karamea really helped me reflect on the message of the song and take it to heart.
Karamea at her first choir practice - nevermind that she can't read yet...
As the youngest choir member, she was determined to learn the songs!
What will you do with Jesus?
What will your answer be?
Will you receive Him in your heart this Christmas?
Will you crown him as your King?

Like Mary, we learned in trusting we'll see
That nothing is impossible when you believe
And like the shepherds long ago, we can't wait to share the news,
And tell the whole wide world what He was born for me and you!

And like the wise men from afar who came to worship the King,
I have come to give you, Lord, a praise offering
Hark! The herald angels sing, "Glory to the King!"
I will be your messenger and serve you joyfully.

Someday your heart, your heart will be asking,
"What will He do with me?"
Jesus, what will you do... with me?

This was the best video I found on YouTube for the song. Note: It's not our church, just a good way to hear the tune.

The verses about Mary, the shepherd, the wise men, and the angels especially move me to trust God, be filled with excitement at his birth, give myself as an offering, and be his joy-filled servant this Christmas and always. I pray that you will have a blessed Christmas celebration, and find time to reflect on the baby that came in to the world and changed everything.

What will you do with Jesus?

Merry Christmas!
